HAECO Group wants to invest in Long Thanh airport

Members of the TVTU Committee, the Chairman of the Thai Bao Provincial People's Council, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc, and representatives from departments, agencies, and sectors were also present.
With its headquarters at Hong Kong International Airport, HAECO is the world's leading independent aircraft engineering and maintenance group. The Group currently operates 16 operating companies, employing over 15,000 people and serving 300 airlines. HAECO wishes to invest in technical services, aircraft maintenance, and repair at Long Thanh airport, so information about the project is critical in order to participate in investment.
The Group estimates that the project will invest $100 million USD in phase one, attracting 1,000 employees, and will continue to expand to 4,000 employees in phase two. Aside from aircraft maintenance and repair, HAECO must collaborate with local governments, businesses, and domestic airlines on human resource training and airport services.

Provincial Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh stated that the province always invites and creates favourable conditions for foreign investors with high technology to implement large projects that benefit both the locality and the country's development goals.
The Provincial Party Committee Secretary requested that the Provincial People's Committee, relevant departments, and branches review the planning and, in collaboration with investors, survey, research, select, and propose the most appropriate plan. At the same time, the province must connect with and report to ministries, branches, and the government for opinions on enterprise investment needs in order to have a foundation for carrying out related procedures.
